A) It is a relatively easier sport to pick up such that even the older generation can play this sport.

A) After advance is received, installation will take around 2 weeks.

- Players will be required to provide their verification.
- Players will not be allowed to participate without registration for the tournament

Who Can Participate in the Tournament ?
- Participation in the Bengal Pickleball Tournament is open for all players from around West Bengal.
- Whether you are seasoned or a beginner, everyone is welcome.
Tournament Format
Singles & Doubles Scoring 1. All matches will be Single-Elimination and will be of 11 service points. 2. All Quarter-Finals (QF) and Semi-Finals (SF) will be 1 set of 11 service points —a difference of 2. 3. The Final match will be 1 Set of 11 points and a win by a difference of 2. Under 16 (Singles & Doubles) 1. All Round Robin/Single Elimination matches will be of 11 service Points. 2. All Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Bronze Medal Match will be 1 set of 11 service points. 3. The Final match will be 1 set of 11 service points, and a win by a difference of 2.
Refereeing Rule
1. In the event of any disputes, the Tournament Director has the final say. 2. Referee(s) will be available for gold medal matches only. 3. All other matches will be self-officiated, and a referee will overrule in case of a Clear Call. 4. All individuals and teams will be required to sign the match sheet at the conclusion of the match. 5. Individuals/Teams will be allowed a 1-minute warm-up prior to each game. 6. One 1-minute standard time-out per individual/team is allowed during Medal Matches. 7. A 15-minute medical break is allowed only if the official allows it.
Rules
- USAPA 2023 Pickleball Rules’ latest version will be used. https://usapickleball.org/docs/USA-Pickleball-Official-Rulebook-2023-v4-1.pdf
- The tournament ball will be Pickleball United X-40.
- Apparel (shirts and shorts) and Sports Shoes (non-marking) – Must not match the colour of the tournament ball.
- Video replay/review is not available.
Additional Rule
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to amend the regulations or reschedule the fixtures of the tournament at any time as it deems fit. The decision on all such matters shall be final.
- Participants will be informed via the website/contact details before the start of the tournament or during the games.
- All players must report to the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before the scheduled match. Players should wait at the “Players Waiting Area” for No announcement.
- Schedule and court numbers will be pre-defined, and it’s the player’s responsibility to be present 10 min before their match is scheduled.
- A player shall concede a walkover if the player is not on the court after the grace period of 10 minutes, and the match will be awarded to the other individual/team who is/are present on the court.
- In all Non-Officiated play, the server (or partner) should call out the score clearly. A hand signal is allowed.
- Injury or retired: In the event of a sustained injury, you may choose to retire from the match. If this happens, your score at the point of retiring from the match shall remain in status quo while your opponent shall be awarded maximum points.
Food & Beverage
- Food vendors will be available at the tournament site, and the same can be purchased.
Parking Facility
- Paid parking or as per availability will be offered at the venue.
Event Changes
- The Management or tournament Director has the right to make changes to the format, schedule, and events.
